1st draft (mostly) complete

I’m currently 140 pages down (a small sized notebook that fits into the pocket). On a day to day basis an idea pops up that gets written into my phone notes..in case it is the eureka moment of the film. Most of the time it isn’t (LOL) but it’s handy to capture thoughts somewhere! I’m proud of the story so far as it has an emotional weight to it. It’s about family dynamics and redemption and just has some uncomfortable moments in too. The ending should be quite emotional too but it is a hard balance.

The actual feature film is made of three chapters. The first has already been shot and edited. The second and third are what I am currently weighing in at 140 pages of notebook. The writing process started earlier this year and I’ve still mostly written in Picturehouse Central. By writing process, we are talking 50% instagram, 15% looking out of the window onto central London, 20% talking film with the staff and 10% writing. 5% drinking pots of tea for good measure.

If I did have an assassin tracking my every move, they’d be able to track me to three particular places on a Monday. Specifically Forbidden Planet (to exercise the collectible current obsession which has got quite out of hand), Picturehouse Central, finishing the day with either an Apple Store Vision Pro gorp or a lighting shop (house is still a building site). In other words…the writing process is going well and the hypothesised assassin has yet to make their move on me (probably has got lost drinking tea in Picturehouse too …sucks you right in).
