The ‘Film Tottenham’ project continues to grow. Our 18th short film screening has just happened (our actual 24th film screening in total). The film festival earlier this year had over 100 people in attendance and 29 short films in one day. An actual marathon of indie film. There was a lot of sugar being consumed by our jury who alongside me, watched the films across the day!
Film Tottenham has now had 4 writer’s rooms too, which contains an intimate group (5 of us). I’m very proud of the community we are building. I’d like Film Tottenham to be a home for all filmmakers of all levels. The monthly screenings are a place where filmmakers and artists can screen their short (at no cost) and talk about their work in front of an audience. From memory there have not been over 40 individuals who have screened or performed their work, made up of spoken word artists, musicians, short story tellers and filmmakers.
Film Tottenham is screening “Interview with the vampire” next which is our first feature exhibition since 2022. It’s a hard nut to crack with exhibiting features on an indie level especially as cinemas in themselves are having it tough. Hopefully if you’re reading this you’ll come along too..but it is in 3 days time!!
