Project “Film Tottenham” has recently been accepted as a Film Festival on platform Film Freeway.
I’m very proud that Film Tottenham continues to grow. We’ve just finished our 18th screening. I say ‘we’ because it’s a collective effort between myself and our supportive audience. The venue and staff have been incredible towards helping Film Tottenham grow and giving it space to make leaps into new ground (Film Tottenham just launched it’s networking event “Meet ’em up”).
The festival will screen over 20 short films over 6 categories along with live poetry and an actor talking about her work on HBO’s “His Dark Materials” as well as her recent work in theatre.
I’ve met so many great storytellers and people through Film Tottenham. There’s a plan for more events throughout this year and building upon the success of the screenings and Q and As. The banners have been designed, the awards purchased and now Film Tottenham performances will even benefit from wireless microphones (a much needed investment)!!
I hope to continue to grow a presence for indie film in Tottenham and provide a platform for filmmakers at all levels.
Most of all, it’s still great fun to create this beating heart!!
