Synopsis: Five people tell their own accounts of what it is like living as an autistic person.
Genre: Mini-doc
Production Year: 2021

In this doc we hear views on how autism affects each person’s everyday life and how society can better support and understand autistic people.

As a filmmaker I wanted to show an intimate portrait of each person showing the spectrum of autism but also how incredibly rich each person’s life is.

The doc was originally meant to be filmed as a crew but due to the covid pandemic, I asked each contributor if they would self-film. I edited together their story (with each contributor having final editorial sign off).
Autism is a spectrum. This means everybody with autism is different. There is no ‘one-size fits all’ approach to how you communicate with an autistic person.
