To build tension, the conversation between both characters had to be about anything apart from what was about to happen.
Kevin had never acted before. His range of emotions had to turn from charming to a ruthless killer in quite a short space of time.
This short for me was a type of sketch of a conversation where death comes knocking on your door in the form of an old friend.
